Year 2 - Community Links - Summer Term 2026

Allotment - Alex and Carol have been helping the school to get their allotment growing! We have chitted and planted potatoes, onions and sweet peas. 

Apiary- A local beekeeper visited us for Science Week. He taught us all about bees and how they make honey. We learnt how important bees are for humans and the planet.

 Fenella Walk- Year 2 completed the Holmfirth Tiger Trail! We were lucky enough to visit the Overbed sisters' old house and we saw Fenella's scratch marks on the cupboard door! Afterwards, we visited the library and Olivia taught us how to use the library whilst Laurie taught us all about Fenella the tiger and her special history. We had a fantastic time. Thank you Holmfirth Library!
